WELCOME
to the website of the New Methods to Investigate the Vasculature in Autoimmune Diseases (MI-VascAD) research consortium. This consortium is dedicated to developing new methods and protocols for investigating blood vessels in systemic autoimmune diseases such as systemic sclerosis. We are a consortium of four projects and partners from the fields of radiology, rheumatology, ophthalmology, pharmacology, biomedical optics (BMO) and the Fraunhofer Institute. We are funded by the Medical Section of the University of Lübeck. The aim of the consortium is to identify, understand and treat the vascular consequences of systemic autoimmune diseases through innovative approaches.

The overall aim of MI-VascAD is to develop technologies describing vascular pathologies in systemic autoimmune diseases. The figure below shows the overall interactions between the participating groups and highlights the close collaboration of the subprojects with each other.
